Minimal Short Film Festival Trondheim

At this year's Minimalen Festival in Trondheim I will be showing two works from the eighties in a programme called Norwegian Art Films 1980 - 1989. Although both works were in fact made in the UK, they have been co-opted into Norwegian art history. Given that I've been based in Norway since 1990, I can live with this!   The works in question are I.O.D. (1984)  and Immemorial (1989) - both of which were featured in the exhibition Retrospective at Stenersens Museum, Oslo, in 2012.

LMW at Heimdal Kunstforening

16th. January we open a new exhibition with works by LMW (Lossius Mogstad Welsh) at Heimdal Kunstforening, Trondheim. Trond Lossius and myself are showing two works from our ongoing project The Atmospherics. One of these, "And Sometimes The Light Hurts Our Eyes", is brand new, based on video and sound recordings we made around Trondheim Fjord, on the islands of Munkholmen and Tautra in August 2015. The installation comprises two projections and eight channels of sound. One projection shows a digital film in four parts and the other shows text, which relates to and comments upon the images asynchronously. More to come when we begin installing on 12th. January!
